The International Ladies Grand Prix 2016, will be organized from September 15 to 18, in Holland on the JST-Waalsdorp shooting grounds in The Hague ( www.jst-waalsdorp.nl ). This beautiful shooting range has recently been upgraded and the range is even more beautiful than it already was!
The International Ladies Grand Prix started on initiative of the European Champion YLVA Jansson form Sweden. The first competition took place in Uppsala, Sweden in September 1988, with participants from England, Ireland, Germany and Sweden. Since then the competition has been organised every year with a growing number of shooters and nations. The purpose is to unite experienced Olympic Skeet shooters with newcomers in the sport in a high quality competition with a friendly atmosphere.
After a training day on the 15th, 150 targets will be shot over the following two days, followed by a final in each category. There are two categories A and B. A-shooters have represented their countries in European or World Championships or World cups. B-shooters are beginners up to the above category. A-shooters that have not represented their countries for the past 10 years start again in the B-category.
Teams must be composed by one A-shooter and two B-shooters. The team members may come from different nations and the team-name should be composed by the shooters.
